We arrived at the surprisingly delightful but back-breakingly lift-free Copthorne Gatwick hotel about midnight last night. After a quick night-cap and a few hours of sleep, we caught the shuttle bus to the airport. Cue standing in various queues, breakfast...you know the drill.
We had to pay for excess hold baggage but escaped trouble over our hand luggage by explaining it was camera equipment which couldn't go in the cases. Phew!
A very good flight brought us into land 20 mins ahead of schedule and we were treated to some fab views of the city and Georgian Bay on the way in.
Now just waiting for our luggage at the carosel, before checking into our hotel, a quick freshen up and then we'll be heading downtown to see Jenn!!
Until a few days ago I wasn't sure we'd be meeting up before we return to Toronto on 2nd October, so this will be an extra treat. I've been so excited to see my friend again after 18 months and couldn't quite my head round the fact that I would be seeing her tonight :)
Toronto beware - there will be much squealing!
